The Emotional Freedom Technique ("EFT")

 

This amazing, self-administered, acupressure technique was created by Gary Craig who derived his method from the teachings of Dr. Roger Callahan .  It quickly helps people to move past all manner of emotional issues.

All negative emotions come hand-in-hand with a disruption of the body's energy system.  If you take away the ability of a memory or situation to disrupt the energy field then a negative emotion does not occur.  By doing this you remove its power over you and you can then face the situation or memory easily and from a position of strength. 

When practicing EFT, a person focuses consciously on the traumatic event which created the reaction or emotion.

Fears and Phobias

I was at one stage of my life absolutely petrified of certain types of enclosed spaces.  Claustrophobia was a big hurdle every day in my life.   Living in New York City I was continually confronted with elevators and subways and spaces made smaller by crowding.  Each day I would grit my teeth and "white knuckle it."  I tried many, many things to try to get over it and nothing worked until I tried this technique.  I had given up hope that I would ever be able to overcome it.  I now am free of this affliction and it is a whole new, beautiful world! I offer you the same outcome.

Traumatic Memories

EFT is very effective with clearing traumatic memories including war, accidents, rape, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and many other types of issues.  Usually the most traumatic memories are focused on first and then we clear each of the more minor ones individually.  This tends to get easier and easier once the most major trauma has been cleared. 

Addictions

Many theories have been put forward by professionals as to why addictions occur and how they can be cured. In the words of Dr. Callahan "The true cause of all addictions is anxiety...an uneasy feeling that is temporarily masked, or tranquilized, by some substance or behavior."  EFT works for addictions because it short-circuits the anxiety that causes the addictive behavior in the first place.  Best of all when you learn EFT you can use it whenever those urges occur immediately, on the spot.

Physical Healing

You can try this on anything.  It is particularly good at helping with pain.  EFT often works when nothing else will.

Poor Self Image

People who have a poor self image have gathered over time a large array of negative emotions about themselves.  These emotions can be reversed and that baggage can be put down ushering in a new self-assurance, strength and joy.
